NDI-RS upgrades Metropolitan Police fleet of Number Plate Recognition vans in preparation for London 2012 Olympic Games

The Metropolitan Police has chosen NDI Recognition Systems (NDI-RS) to upgrade their fleet of 8 ANPR Spectrum vans with the latest state-of-the-art NDI-RS ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology.
The ANPR solution from NDI-RS provides an updated but familiar look and feel of the previous Home Office funded Project Spectrum reducing user training related issues and costs whilst maintaining operational experience. The 8 Metropolitan Police ANPR vans will be upgraded with the latest version of the Talon Automatic Number Plate Recognition Software, new high power ANPR PC platforms and new NDI-RS ‘Dual’ ANPR C3 Series Cameras providing a highly powerful ANPR solution in denying criminals use of the roads.
