The NDI-RS Sabre Unit is a powerful and reliable industrial computer specifically designed and configured for automatic number plate recognition capture and image processing. Featuring a powerful Dual Core processor, each Sabre ANPR unit is capable of processing 4 lanes of high speed, high density traffic with complementing overview images at the same time. Therefore a single Sabre ANPR unit can capture and store four lanes of motorway traffic, at peak times, at the same time. Designed to be installed in the ‘indoor environment’, for example into CCTV control rooms and office environments, the Sabre is a very powerful and robust Plate Recognition Unit (PRU) for fixed automatic plate recognition solutions.
For large city centre and national ANPR systems, multiple Sabre units can be rack mounted and all work simultaneously and in unison with each other. Each individual Sabre unit can then be controlled via KVM switch.
The latest generation Talon ANPR software and supporting high speed frame grabbers are installed onto each Sabre unit and when combined with the Talon C3 Series cameras exceptionally high levels of ANPR recognition can be captured. Each Sabre is powered by 240v AC (standard mains electricity) and additional UPS systems can be supplied upon request.
