The V1 ANPR camera series is a small colour camera designed to be mounted in the front windscreen of ANPR or other mobile surveillance vehicles. The camera is attached to the vehicle via a low profile stainless steel bracket and the camera casing is manufactured from 6082-T6 aerospace grade aluminium. This results in an extremely lightweight camera ideally suited for mobile surveillance and ANPR. The V1 Series small size has resulted in a camera that does not obstruct any part of the driver's vision; it is designed to sit directly in front of the rear-view mirror. Due to this unobtrusive design, the V1 Series is the ideal choice for an in car / on board surveillance ANPR camera.
The zoom feature means the V1 series field of view can be rapidly optimised to suit different ANPR capture requirements. The V1 Series high resolution CCD allows a much sharper picture to be processed and, combining the high quality of the V1 series with TALON ANPR software, results in outstanding accuracy rates.
The V1 Series has two different methods of ANPR camera control available to the operator. Standard RS232 command control protocol or through the V1's own software Graphical User Interface (GUI) via a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) touch screen.
The V1 Series is powered by 9 - 14V DC from a car battery. The images taken by the V1 Series are sent along a standard composite video cable to the MDT. Images are then sent to the user in the front of the vehicle and displayed on the touch screen.
