  • Infrared 'monochrome' ALPR camera
  • Day / night color camera for overview imaging
  • Powerful zoom capability
  • Sequential shuttering for extended dynamic range

The V220 camera's zoom capability and day / night function help it deliver the highest recognition speed and accuracy around the clock. The NDI-RS V220 is a compact mobile camera designed primarily for vehicle-based ALPR deployment. The camera can typically be installed on the roof of a law enforcement vehicle or other surveillance vehicle or it can be discreetly mounted inside a vehicle for more covert operations.

The V220 utilizes two high-performance 10x optical zoom camera modules with a built-in day / night switchover function for extra high quality overview imaging in poor lighting conditions and a dedicated monochrome infrared camera for high quality license plate capture. The camera utilizes a Super HAD CCD II sensor for extremely high sensitivity, providing the best results in all weather and lighting conditions.

  • Zoom Capability and Wide Field of View. One of the key functions of the V220 camera is the powerful and versatile zoom capability. The 10x optical zoom camera modules in the V220 give the user great flexibility to set up the camera for their exact site requirements. No relensing or guess work is required – just a simple and intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) which can be loaded onto any standard PC connected to the camera. With zoomable color and monochrome camera modules the V220 camera can easily achieve a 50 foot capture distance. Any requirement beyond 50 feet, please use the high performance C3 camera from our product range.
  • Day and Night function. A principal feature of the V220 camera is the integrated day / night function. The high performance color camera module with the latest Super HAD CCD II sensor has the ability to switch over to night mode in poor light and at night. The day / night camera module provides optimal sensitivity for both day and night time ALPR operations, resulting in a significant improvement in the image quality under limited lighting conditions. In low light conditions the infrared filter is automatically removed for increased sensitivity enabling the color module to operate in Black and White mode as low as 0.01lx.  The monochrome ALPR camera module incorporates a band pass filter which eliminates the unwanted infrared encountered in very bright sunlight and from the glare of oncoming vehicle headlights.

The V220 mobile camera provides a very formidable solution for ALPR operations around the clock.
